About Flag Zoom

Any of the world's 197 countries. Name it from a zoomed-in close-up; every wrong guess zooms out. All 197 national flags are in the pool, so the close-up might be a star, a stripe or a single feather.

A flag puzzle that starts with a close-up of one small corner, a star, a stripe or a bit of an emblem, and pulls back with every wrong guess. It rewards knowing flags in detail, not just at a glance. There are dailies for the world and the US states, plus sets of regional and expert flags.

How it works

1. 1Name the country, state or territory from a close-up of its flag.
2. 2You have six guesses. Every wrong one, or a skip, zooms the camera out, and the last guess shows the whole flag.
3. 3Fewer guesses, more points: 6 for the first guess down to 1 for the last.
